Carpenters work on site doing framing and back-framing, installing temporary doors and railings and performing other carpentry needs on site.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous carpentry experience is required; either framing experience or rough carpentry experience to start in the position. Carpenters range from having a year of carpentry experience to being journeypersons in the trade.
This work requires someone who is able to spend hours working on their feet, are able to go up and down ladders easily, are able to bend, lift, and carry up to 20kg of weight. Individuals in this position need to be self-motivated, energetic, and organized.
DUTIES
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Framing and back-framing on the site as required, including providing a continuous backing for the vapour barrier.
Installing temporary doors and the hardware for these doors.
Installing temporary safety railings on the site.
Keeping a clean and organized work area.
