On July 29th, 2023, Spring Creek is celebrating the grand opening of its new community hub, the Beat. Located in the heart of Spring Creek, the Beat is a landing place for visitors entering the community.
Within the centre of the hub is a beautifully landscaped park with seating and scenic mountain views. A pond with fountains is the main focal piece which in the winter is maintained as a skating rink. Lining the Beat you will find local businesses like the Alder Cafe and Grocery and Bridgette Bar as well as Spring Creekâs newest vacation building, the Tamarack Lodge.
The Beat was designed to be pedestrian friendly, with sidewalks alongside the entire square. The central location leads visitors onto Spring Creek Drive where you will find more local shopping, dining, arts and culture, wellness and beauty and event spaces. This space is intended to be the energy of Spring Creek and cultivate community to visitors and residents.
The celebration will kick off with an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. and will follow with live music from a local Canmore musician and food and refreshments from Spring Creek businesses, including Alder Cafe and Bridgette Bar. Visitors will also have the chance to enter to win door prizes, courtesy of Spring Creek.
